Temple border

As common as the temples dotting the country, the temple motif can be found in sarees across the length and breadth of India -Bengal, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Karnatka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat. Woven in varying forms, as long serrated edges or small triangles, it is simple yet dramatic, enlivening the most staid of background colours.

Displayed here, our “Playing the angel” dresses edged with the temple motif border
